My husband and I both requested a credit report from FreeCreditReport.com. We were under the impression that our bank account would be charged for routine credit services offered by the site if we did not cancel our membership within 7 days. But that is not what happened. We just checked our bank account and each of us were charged $30 each. I have looked at the site to see what the charge is for but can not figure it out. My husband got his report two days ago and I just got mine last night. It definitely has not been 7 days. Of course it is after business hours for them, so I can not call them now to ask but I definitely will ask call to see what they say tomorrow. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this or know anything about it.

A couple of months ago I got pulled over doing a 37 in a 25. The cop was nie and let me go with a WRITTEN warning. Weeks later someone totaled my car while it was parked. I recently got a new car and the 1st payment was only $120 something and that was ear our estimated quote, but for the past 2 payments the price has been over $200 dollars and my mother is convinced that my insurance company saw the WRITTEN warning and thats why my rates went up. I was just in a car accident on Thursday. Its basically totalled my car. I just bought a house for about $180,000. I am looking for homeowners' insurance, but I am confused as to how much I should get. Should I insure for just the replacement cost of rebuilding the structure, or for the % of the mortgage I am financing. I got 3 different quotes, and they were for $396, $502, and $858. The lowest one was for $396 b/c it was with my car insurance company, but they will only insure the cost of rebuilding the structure, which they estimate as $110,000 (the house is small and in a decent neighborhood.) The second company wanted to insure me for that, but I got them to quote me on $140,000. That amount, when you add in the 25% overflow they allow you, meets the 90% of the mortgage amount I am financing. The 1st company would not do that for me. The 3rd quote was for $140,000, and was with the people w/whom I have had renter's insurance for 12 years. The only difference was that there was not a wind damage deductible of 2% on the 3rd quote. I am currently working a temporary job away from home in another state not my permanent residence (I am living there for the term of the employment). While there I bought another vehicle and registered it in that state and when insuring it moved my other car to the policy not realizing this could cause a problem. Now on my first vehicle, which was registered in my home state, the home state has refused to renew the registration because it carries out of state insurance. However, I also don't own the first vehicle, it is owned by my parents who are a resident of my home state, I just use it and pay the insurance. So unless I am missing anything, It looks like I am basically going to be forced to register that vehicle in a state where I do not have residence or cancel my insurance policy and get insurance for only that vehicle through a provider in my home state. Why does the 2000 - 2005 Honda Insight have group 12 insurance status in the UK?! Its such a shame, I have been looking to upgrading my small car at the moment, and have always liked the old Insight. What are your rights if a person's car hits you and they don't have auto insurance?

I was laid off about a week ago. I graduated from college with 3 degrees that I guess are useless ( Associate in graphic design , B.A in Advertising and minor in Marketing) I have been looking for jobs since i graduated un 2011.I nannied for the first year. Then found one with awful pay and 60 plus hours did that for a year. Found a new job the paid great until they changed my pay in 3 weeks and then laid me off right before my insurance would kick in and said we are just looking for part-time. So here i am again I love nannying but I cant get insurance I applied for mass health ( lets be real, that i wont see for months) I though about severing two but I do want a life. I have a great bf and we will get married and everything but that wont be till like 2 or 3 years. I cant wait that long for insurance. Any ideas?? I be applying for months and nothin. Does the insurance company ( the other guys' fault) pay for rental car insurance?

I got swiped in the week. He is culpable and using his insurance Farmers. I get a rental while my car is in the shop. Farmers- do they pay for my rental insurance, if I am not covered to drive another car but my own? I have legal insurance- liability but not collision. THe guy who swiped me was extremely nice, giving me humbers and taking photos and so on- he was decent. But to pay extra for collision ( Enterprize mentioned this) it'll be 15-18 bucks a day. At this point, I'm fed up with having to drive around getting appraisals and do NOT think I should pay a dam thing. If I get a tiny scratch on the rental, they may ask me to pay for that, or will they? Please what are my options? The rental will take MY credit card for godsake ( I understand--I could just go sell it etc), but I do not see why I should be liable for even a tiny scratch, if I don't have that coverage for my own car and am happy to keep driving my own car that way- I will not be able ot drive my car a week or so while it's in the shop. Any advice- is Farmers right on this? Or did the customer service rep get it wrong? I'm confused right now. If I have to pay that collision ( god knows Enterprize could charge for a hailstone dent) then they guy who swiped me- he should pay them directly right? Please advise. I am willing to put a call into that guy to ask him to just pay the collision for each day I have the rental ( bear in mind I DO have legal liability insurance already, just not collision). TIA> foc
