Due to my low income, I have been approved for a reduced fee attorney, costing $1100, but I do not get to speak with this attorney, simply pay the fee, submit the debts I want included in BK, relinquish my tax return for 2011 and hope it all goes well. Here are my questions: 1. What is the average cost of BK if you hire a BK attorney? (I live in Kansas, if that helps) 2. Is there any way to make absolutely certain that all of my outstanding debts get covered? (The reason I began to look into BK is because I have a $24k medical bill for my son's birth, but when I pulled all 3 credit reports to start getting all of my debts in order for the BK office, I saw that that particular collection wasn't even listed on any of them. I am afraid that I will go through the work and pay the fee, and then have an unknown debt appear when it's all said and done). 3. Is there any way to avoid giving up my tax return to the BK courts? My debts are the result of many separations and now a divorce from my ex. 2011 is my year to claim our son, and with another on the way in August, a tax refund would be REALLY helpful. Don't get me wrong, I understand that my debts are my responsibility and I am not looking for handouts, I just need to be able to start fresh in order to give my family the life that they deserve. I am making payments on my car and currently have full coverage car insurance. About a week ago, I was driving my car on the freeway. It had been raining earlier that morning. A car beside me switched lanes in front of me suddenly. (She did not hit my car) but she caused me to loose control, my car hydroplaned spun out and hit the center divder on the freeway. No other cars hit me. My car has damage to the tire, rim and the right rear of my car from the back door to the bumper has scrathes and damage. I did not file a claim at first because the cost of my insurance is already $108 (because of a ticket) and I did not want it tod go up. But after paying to replace the tire, the rim and some other issues with the axile for $606....and the tow service which was $125; I'd like to know if any one has an idea of which would be more beneficial. Should I pay the $1000 deductible and have my car fixed through the insurance company, even though my monthly payments will increase? Or should I just continue the repairs out of pocket?

I'm wanting to get a cheaper car on finance. I was looking at a few second hand Toyota Aygo's for around 4,000-5,000. I drive a 98 Chevy Suburban, because it has a lien holder (bank) it has had full coverage insurance the life of the loan. Next month when we get our tax refund we plan to pay it off, not that much owed. Due to it's age wouldn't it be logical to drop the full coverage down to liability insurance. I would like to get my g2 in october, but not get insurance and start driving alone until november. Would this raise my parents insurance from just getting my g2. Also, if i have an 80% avg at midterm, will it lower the cost of insurance? If yes then would a 90 avg lower the insurance cost even more?

Okay I was in a car accident on May 7th. I was going north towards main street. there was a vehicle in front of me. The vehicle in front of me merge to left as if he was waiting for someone to come outside. He didn't have no signal light or hazards lights on. So I merge to the right pass him so the guy must didn't see me so he hit my right front end bumper, headlight, and door. My insurance liability told that he couldn't contact the other guy to see if he had insurance and send him letters. So he told he's going to put it's not at fault but I have to pay for a $500 deductible. But WHY?????? if he didn't look at the cars but he's going to basis on paper work. The insurance rates in New Jersey are higher than any rates in the entire United States. I demand an answer to this outrage! It makes no sense that in California you can pay like $140 for the whole -year- to insure a car, while in NJ you pay like $140 every month.
